How the system works: An aerial wire is laid around the perimeter of the area within which the pets are to be contained, ideally buried about 50mm/2" below ground. This emits a low frequency radio signal generated by the transmitter installed in the house or garage.

Your dog(s) wears a small receiver on its collar. When the dog approaches the boundary the receiver picks up the radio signal and gives an audible warning. If the dog continues, he will receive a mild and harmless static correction, similar to that sometimes experienced from a car door or lift button. He should only receive the correction a few times during initial training since he will quickly learn to respond to the warning signal.

Installation: Very easy to install. Clear and straight forward instructions are provided.

Property Size: Up to 5 acres - 150m/492ft of wire is included with the Radio Fence kit. Additional wire is easy to obtain.

Training: A manual and video are included to show you how to carry out the training programme.

Other Pets: There is no limit to the number of dogs that can benefit from this system, but for each additional pet you will need to purchase an additional receiver collar. The system can also be used for cats but they will require extra training; a special manual is available.

Stray Animals: Radio Fence will NOT keep other animals out of your garden. You will require another product such as Cat Stop or Scarecrow to achieve this.
