Hobby Absorbex Micro

Hobby Absorbex Micro
Hobby Absorbex Micro : absorptive high-performance filtering material

Hobby Absorbex has an absorbent effect i.e. harmful substances are broken down by aerobic and anaerobic bacteria who are given an exceptionally large area of colonisation (approx. 765 m²) by the material.

Nitrite and ammoniac are absorbed efficiently, nitrate and phosphate are broken down significantly and the biological balance is assisted.

1 litre of Absorbex corresponds to an inner surface of more than 3 basketball courts

Sufficient for approx. 6 months in 200 litre aquaria with an average number of fish

  Hobby Absorbex Micro 450gm    £7.99

Hobby Humin Faser (Peat)

Hobby Humin Faser (Peat)
Hobby Humin Faser (Peat): Loose peat for use as spawning substrate and filtering

Rough loose peat which is an ideal spawning substrate for the breeding of your tropical, subtropical and indigenous fish.

As a filter medium it slowly gives off humic acids and important trace elements over a period of time. This enables the care of fish which are difficult to breed, and who demand special requirements

Hobby Humin Faser (Peat) 60gm    £1.25
Hobby Humin Superaktiv (Peat Pellets)

Hobby Humin Superaktiv (Peat Pellets)
Hobby Humin Superaktiv : Concentrated aquarium peat pellets

An ideal additive of trace elements, plant hormones and humic acids.

Used for neutral to acid (soft) water

Serves to soften the water and lower the pH-value in freshwater tanks.

Do not use carbon filter material at the same time as this will remove the humic acid produced by the peat

For ease of use : it should be placed in a net bag (not supplied)

Zeoltih works in an adsorptive manner, i.e. environmental toxins and decayed products are directly attracted and retained by the system of cavities through strong electro-static fields.

Zeoltih encourages the formation of natural bacteria and Microbes and acts as an ion-exchanger and catalytic converter.

  • Lowers the phosphate content
  • Reduces ammonia by up to 90%
