Hydor Hydrokable Heating Cable

Hydor Hydrokable Heating Cable
Heating cable for fresh water, marine aquariums and terrariums

Undergravel Heating Cable

Floor Heating for healthy plant growth in the aquarium

  • Optimum supply of nutrients due to slow convection currents on the floor, as in the natural habitat of aquatic plants
  • 24V safe Low Voltage for hazard free use in the aquarium
  • Silicon covered heating cable with high quality German transformer
  • Integrated power -on light diode
  • Supplied with 16 fixing suckers
  • 4 metres heated lead with 2 metres unheated at each end for connection to transformer

20 watt : for Aquariums from 100 litres - 200 litres

Notes On Use : Undergravel heating cables (of any make) are designed to be left constantly on and are therefore not thermostactically controlled. Being low wattage, they only produce a gentle heat for the benefit of the plants : they are not designed to heat the aquarium water. A purpose designed commercial aquarium heater thermostat should also be used to maintain and control the tank water temperature. In hot room conditions where the constantly on heating cables produce excessive tank water temperatures, a time switch may be fitted to restrict the heating cable's operation for short periods every hour
