Razor Twin T5 Light Unit : Designed to be the thinnest splashproof T5 light in the planet

The NEW T5 Razor Light is the smallest and thinnest section that D-D could create whilst still holding all of the electronics and ballast within the body of the light

Some 2 years ago they designed a new section for their T5 light bar and now, utilising Giesemann's manufacturing facility it has become a reality. The new light has all of the advantages and benefits of the old Mega Twin light but at a fraction of the size which allows it to be suitable for far more situations.

Gullwing reflectors included to increase the light output from the bulb.

New Self Dimming T5 Lighting

D&D have developed a unique chip which allows complete simulation of sunrise, sunset, clouds and moon phasing without the use of an additional computer.

The chips can be ordered with all D&D T5 fittings such as the popular 'Retro fit' units and the multi-tube T5 pendant lights.

With the chip inside our new T5 metal halide combination units the range becomes complete.

Benefits of the new and existing D-D 'T5 Retro' lighting units are:

Water resistance to IP67 in both fresh and salt water for simple and safe attachment or suspension above the aquarium.
Of paramount importance are our special 'Gull wing' shaped reflectors, which are included with the light. They catch the light from the back of the T5 and reflect it around the tube NOT through it. This maximises the available 'Light per WATT'. Providing up to 10% more than from an equivalent HQI without the radiant heat gain.

D & D T5 Flourescent Tubes
All their tubes use an A1 phosphor mix which is imperative to maintain a five point light spectrum. This enables replication of natural light in your aquarium. Their T5s with A1 phosphor mix gives up to 10% more light per watt (using 40% less electricity) than can be obtained from an HQI (with minimal radiant heat) keeping the tank cool in the summer. D & D T5 Aquablue+ Fluorescent Tubes
Aquablue Plus A combination of 6000K and 22000K (approx) phosphor blend. It is specifically designed for reef aquariums mimicking sea water to a depth of one to twenty meters. It can also be used for growing SPS corals up to 80cm in a saltwater aquarium. The tubes can be combined with Aqua Flora for freshwater, tropical fish and planted aquaria.

Actinic Plus Actinic plus is the latest T5 tube produced by D-D. Its spectrum is generally as the deep ocean but as the name suggests it also emits high levels of Actinic Light. This is designed to make even the drabbest corals stand out by producing strong fluorescence.
