Utilising computer aided liquid flow analysis Lotus have developed their unique 'wrap around' filter housing which dispenses with the need for a sponge when used for a waterfall or in conjunction with a filtration system.

Because the Maximus advanced design 'wrap around' filter cage reduces the need to clean the pump, less demand is made on the motor, leading to higher electrical efficiency and reduced energy costs

The Maximus is capable of handling solids up to 8mm and is guaranteed for three years.

The Xwave pump is the ideal tool for moving high volumes of water at a low running cost within your marine aquarium. Like all stream type pumps the Xwave produces a wide, high volume area of laminar, low pressure waterflow which is gentle on coral tissue compared with the narrow directed jet which is obtained using a high pressure pump nozzle.

All Xwave pumps are controllable and come with a remote power supply which offers 5 selectable speeds as standard.

When used with the multi-controller (available separately) the options are even greater with a choice of funtions to tailor the pump output to your specific requirements.

All Xwave pumps are controllable and come with a remote power supply which offers 5 selectable speeds as standard. When used with this multi-controller the options are even greater with a choice of functions to tailor the pump output to your specific requirements.

Produces 30 second cycles of flow at 50% power and then 50% power creating wave surges within the aquarium.

This program is set up to use a random output of the pump. An irregular combination can produce turbulent currents. The occurrence of turbulence for a few hours per week is beneficial for the reef aquarium as it simulates the de-sedimentation of the stony structures in the reef zones.

A combination process. This program is set to run from Mode A to Mode D and each mode executes for 30 minutes.

This program is set to stop the pump during feeding. After 8 minutes the system is restored to the previous program. During the feeding mode all the function keys are deactivated. The feeding mode minimises the loss of fish and coral food directly into the filter system

This program works with the built-in timer. It can run together with all other programs except for Food Time Mode. When the Night Mode is applied and the time is at the preset night time, (see setting of night time), Night Mode will be executed. The pump will operate at 30% output and the Super-Lux LED will switch on until the night period is over. During the Night Mode all the function keys are deactivated.

With the difference between the day and night environments the organisms inside the aquarium can regain their natural biological clock which enhances reproduction and growth.

The main use of these D&D Multi-Function Float Switch Systems is to control evaporation loss in salt water systems.

The float switch can be fitted to either a vertical surface (e.g. tank wall) or to a horizontal surface such as a bracing bar. In all cases the float switch must operate vertically. The height can be adjusted to suit the required depth of water, and as the float switch rises and falls it switches the controller on and off, which in turn controls a pump or solenoid to top up the lost water. Float system comes complete with snail guard to prevent snails or other debris causing a malfunction of the float switch

This system is ideal for controlling top up water supply from reservoir above tank or sump, or direct from a reverse osmosis unit. Solenoid will then shut off water supply once water level reaches pre-determined level. Pump should be installed in a freshwater reservoir and connected to the main tank using the hose provided. A hole is drilled in the float switch bracket to accept the hose outlet.
