TETRAPOND™ OFX Open-Flow Pond Pumps

One of the major drawbacks to pond keeping is the necessity to regularly clean out the pump. This is particularly a problem during the spring and summer, when the fish are producing more waste and algae are flourishing. At such times, it is not unusual for the pump to require cleaning every few days. In addition to the hassle of cleaning the pump, the reduction in flow caused by clogging can have deleterious effects on the health of the pond.

 


The OFX open-flow pump has been designed to overcome these problems, and has the following features that allow it to do this:
  • Indestructible impeller, made from the engineering grade material, Noryl.

  • Impeller designed to handle solids up to 10mm in size, allowing debris to be passed through the pump and straight into the filter, or back down the waterfall. .

  • Non-restrictive, multi-directional outlet that, unlike many other pumps available, maintains flow rates at all angles.

  • Strainer basket that allows through solids up to 10mm in size, and provides a high surface area over which water can be drawn, thereby minimising flow restriction..

  • Low running costs, allowing economical year-round operation.

  • A rotor assembly consisting of only one moving part, meaning that there is very little that can go wrong.

  • Proven to perform well over an extensive testing period.
