SeaClone™ Protein Skimmer

The SeaCloneTM protein skimmer utilizes the forces of nature to effectively draw wastes out of your aquarium. The tornado-like motion inside the SeaCloneTM protein skimmer removes organic wastes from your aquarium. The SeaCloneTM protein skimmer has been developed and tested in different aquarium environments. As a result, its design is simple and user-friendly. SeaCloneTM requires no airstones and is more efficient than air-driven protein skimmers. SeaCloneTM protein skimmer has versatile dual design — it functions as either a external hang-on or internal sump model. A Maxi-Jet®PH aquarium pump is included with each SeaCloneTM protein skimmer. It is used for saltwater aquariums up to 100 gallons.

Features Turbo-Venturi Injector System : Mixes filtered water and air in the pump impeller chamber, creating a froth of micro-bubbles for maximum skimming efficiency and improved gas exchange . Vortex Reaction Chamber : Here air and water swirl up into the smaller "tornado" tube. The vortex of air and water created in this tube draws organic waste from the water . Concentration Tube : Spiraling air/water mixture propels protein laden bubbles into the collection tube above. The bubbles burst, forming a frothy solution which gathers in the collection chamber . Large Capacity Collection Chamber : Dissolved organic compounds stay in the collection chamber, keeping waste separate from clean water until it can be removed for cleaning. The large capacity cup holds more and requires less frequent emptying .

General Information Tank Size : Suitable for tanks up to 100 gallons No airstones necessary : More efficient than air-driven protein skimmers . Maxijet MJ1000 Power Head : Supplied with the unit. Max. flow 1000 lph . Hang-On Installations : 4 inches of clearance are needed between the edge of the tank and the wall. In-Sump Installations : At least 20 inches of clearance are needed between the bottom of the sump and the underside of the aquarium. Overall Height : 18 inches (460 mm). Maxijet Power Head : Must be submerged 2 - 3 inches below water level for optimum performance. Clearance : The distance between the tank top edge and the top of the collection cup is 5.5 inches.

Note: The SeaClone Protein Skimmer may need a two or three day "break-in" period before significant production begins. If the aquarium is new, it may take even longer for proteins and organics to build up in the system and be collected by the SeaClone protein skimmer. Important : Remember to empty and clean the collection cup regularly.
