Reef Herbivore is a diet formulated for all fishes that feed on algae, plants, and phytoplankton in the wild. It contains a high percentage of spirulina, and provides the protein and fiber necessary to maintain long-term health of herbivorous fishes. Provides herbivorous fishes with the proper sources of plant material, not lettuce or spinach, which are totally unsuited to the digestive systems of marine fishes. Satisfies nutritional needs of grazing fishes that have no ready access to microalgae, macroalgae, or spirulina in their aquariums. Does not make heavy use of fats that can often damage fish’s livers. Contains no steroids, hormones or artificial color enhancers!

Reef Carnivore is a diet created for fishes that consume shrimp, crabs, insects, other invertebrates, and other fishes in the wild. Percentages of protein, fat, fiber, and ash have been found to be optimal for these “high-performance” species. Does not overload fish’s liver with fat. Sources of protein are “natural” to fish, which means they have developed the enzymes to properly utilize these proteins; fish cannot properly process proteins derived from land animals. Contains no steroids, hormones or artificial color enhancers!

Kent Micro Vert contains a nutritionally balanced diet for corals, sponges, anemones, gorgonians, feather dusters, clams and other fine filter feeders. It is rich in vitamins and natural minerals from spirulina and kelp. Other products have not been properly preserved and smelled rotten, or were preserved with harsh, non food grade chemicals that smell like medicated mouthwash. Who wants to put these products into their expensive and sensitive marine aquarium? Kent Micro•Vert is properly preserved, with preservatives reserved for human food use. It has a long shelf life without refrigeration and will provide superior results, just smell the difference!

Filter Feeding Invertebrate Diet For Reef Type Marine Aquariums

ChromaPlex is a unique blend of aquacultured, naturally-occurring phytoplankton • Particles range in size from 5 to 25 microns, providing a broad range for filter-feeding marine invertebrates • Contains essential amino and fatty acids, fiber, and high levels of carotenoids • Carotenoids have been shown to increase coloration intensity of blue, green, orange, yellow, and red pigments in tissues of filter-feeding marine invertebrates • May also be used to supplement and fortify live foods such as rotifers, daphnia, and brine shrimp, as well as larval fishes and invertebrates • Contains no yeast or sugars!

Concentrated Aquacultured Marine Phytoplankton

Kent Phytoplex is a highly concentrated complex of aqua cultured, naturally occurring marine phytoplankton  •  It contains Nannochloropsis, Tetraselmis and Isochrysis sp. Tahitian ranging in size from 2 to 15 microns  •  Phytoplex provides necessary proteins, carbohydrates, and lipids for live hard & soft corals, tube worms, clams and other invertebrates  •  It is rich in the omega-3 fatty acids, DHA and EPA and is useful in feeding rotifers and other plankton and in raising larval fish.  Phytoplex is grown in cold saltwater under laboratory conditions.  It contains over 3 billion cells per capful and is typically about 15 times as concentrated as competing live cultures, meaning that one 8 oz. bottle of Phytoplex has more phytoplankton cells than 1 gallon of the competition.  It is free of viruses, toxins and heavy metals which can be a problem when using live algae cultures, cultured in outdoor ponds.  Phytoplex contains Nannochloropsis, a small green flagellate and Tetraselmis, a large green flagellate both containing high EPA lipid levels as well as high protein contents.  It also contains Tahitian Isochrysis, a small yellow flagellate which is rich in protein, carbohydrates and DHA lipids.  Phytoplex is very useful in SPS and soft coral propagation as well as overall reef maintenance.
