The new self-priming range of filters which replace the 2226 & 2228.

The brains are in the head, and in this innovative Eheim external filter system, simply pressing down on the pump head is enough to activate the integrated priming aid : as soon as the strong pressure of a spring pushes the pump back into its original position, the filter automatically fills with water and is ready for use.

The newly designed hose adapter also offers a number of solutions for more conveniance and safety:

• : Integrated shut-off taps open and close automatically when the adapter is removed or connected
• : The fitted sealing ring guarantees absolute safety when locking the adapter unit
• : The flow rate can be controlled by means of the combination lever, and a safety lock ensures a safe maximum and minimum
• : An optical control allows monitoring of the water flow. At a glance the position of the ball shows the current amount of circulating water
